Reading
The name of the red haired Queen
was Boudicca.
The army was so big because the
tribes joined forces.
The army burnt their houses down.
The Romans won because they were
well trained soldiers.
Defeat means loss.
The final battle was called ‘The
Battle of Watling Street’.
Boudicca taught the Romans not to
underestimate people.
The Romans regretted messing with
Boudicca because she killed Romans and destroyed their belongings.

Halima's Super Creations!
Here's some creations that Halima has made. Aren't they fantastic? The first one is based on the legend of 'The Trojan Horse' after we read and studied it last week, and the second shows that you can use anything in your house to create a piece of artwork. Halima used a fruit shoots drink cap, blutak and toothpicks. Don't they look like real pencils? Well done Halima!!
Well done to Iasmina - AMAZING work!
Iasmina emailed me some super work this week. If anyone else wants to email me theirs - I'd love to see it and to put it on the blog!

Looking After Yourself
Good Morning Year 6,
I hope that you are well!
Learning from home can be challenging. We have to make sure that we look after ourselves throughout the day.
This means...
- Taking regular small breaks.
- Drinking plenty of water.
- Making sure you move your body. You could go for a walk or even do some dancing!
- Eat a few portions of fruits and vegetables every day. They are full of healthy vitamins and minerals.

Parkinson - Thursday 14th January
Hi Parkinson
Today is the final online English lesson for this week. You will again be looking at how authors/media can represent the same or similar pieces of information in totally different ways.
So far, we have seen how Diego Maradona and Mia Hamm were presented differently despite the fact that they both excelled at the same profession.
We have also analysed how the media portrayed two women who shared identical roles, behaved in identical ways and yet were represented in entirely different ways.
Finally, today, you will be looking at the same story - The Three Little Pigs - from two different perspectives: the victims, the three pigs; and the perpetrator, the wolf.
(I hadn't read the second version of this story (The True Story of the Three Little Pigs) until very recently but I really enjoyed it - I hope you do too!)
